Streaming Audio Is on The Rise with Older Listeners

As a small business owner, you have more important things on your mind than which consumer audiences are using streaming audio services and you probably think just the kids listen to that stuff.
Well, we agree and disagree based on actual streaming audio listenership.
As you would expect, the streaming audio audience on Spotify, Pandora, ESPN, and iHeart Radio are led by young, mobile consumers. These audio apps also appeal to many 35 to 54 year-olds, who consume podcasts above the average rate. And while you might think that digital audio usage among older listeners is low, the 55+ audience has the fastest growth rate of streaming audio usage, with a 40% increase in users from 2018 to 2022.
Don't let your own preconceptions or your own personal media usage get in the way of reaching your target consumer audience through new digital marketing and streaming audio platforms.
